Erin Bardwell suggested back in late 2010 to One Dropper, then at the beginning of The Estimators to organize an event featuring traditional ska and reggae bands to make skanksters aware that there was much more offbeat sound around than 2tone: not only an event was organized, but Dumplins Live Ska was born.

Dumplins crew are excited to feature the return of Erin Bardwell Collective: they play their own reggae/rocksteady material, in the style of the late 1960s, plus a sprinkling of that early 70s Studio One sound. One of the very few bands in the UK at the moment focusing on this period.

An organ driven early reggae sound with male and female vocals.
Skabretta is a 6 piece band that takes you through the years of SKA and Reggae from the early Blue Beat sounds of Prince Buster to the 80's revival, covering everything in between. Created in mid 2012 they have quickly become a local favourite as there blend of old and new styles caters for every taste whether your in to 2-tone or the more traditional Trojan groove you are in for a night to remember. In less then a year Skabretta have gone from playing local boozers and clubs to playing venues such as the 12 bar Club in Denmark Street and the iconic 100 Club on Oxford Street. With a packed diary and gigs coming in up and down the country, we welcome them on their debut gig at Dumplins Live Ska.

Expect another heavy partying night plus the usual powerful tunes by residents DJs:

BELFAST ERIC has been making Dumplins crowds skank as far back as 2011 and his boss reggae, ska and rocksteady tunes are second to none. One Dropper keeps the party going with an unique blend of RandB, Ska, Early Reggae and Rocksteady scorchers, soulful crispy biscuits, rare off-beat grooves from the vaults of the earliest Jamaican music.
