Independence Day at Mr. Fogg's

On Friday 4th July 2014, Mr Fogg’s and his household staff, in support of their American friends across the pond, and in association with Kentucky’s finest, Bulleit Bourbon, will host a unique Independence Day celebration, fit for all Yankee folk.

Well known for enjoying a ‘good ald’ knees up, the residence of Mr Fogg’s will be full of all-American cheer. Guests will be welcomed with all-American cocktails including the ‘Dodged a Bulleit’ for the guys containing a heady mix of Bulleit bourbon, home-made spicy syrup, blackberry puree, Berry’s Red Port, fresh lemon juice and egg white, and for the dolls, ‘Petticoats & Whisky Notes’, a creamy blend of Bulleit Bourbon, vanilla infused double cream and dark chocolate liquor.

The Yankees are well and truly coming, with all of Mr Fogg’s household staff decked out in ‘stars and stripes’ bow ties, with glittering buttons. Not content with simply looking the part, they will also all be waving their American flags up high, and even popping a few cocktail size ones into the drinks they mix...(umbrellas are so last season).

Mr Fogg's is a recreation of the Victorian home of Jules Verne's most famous adventurer, Phileas Fogg. Modelled on the very Mayfair house in which Phileas would have lived after travelling Around the World in 80 Days, the bar is refined but at the same time truly off-the-wall, breathing liveliness and fun into the area. It is the first West End project from Inception Group, whose founders Charlie Gilkes and Duncan Stirling have also created Chelsea speakeasy Barts, 80's themed nightclub, Maggie's, the acclaimed Bunga Bunga, an Englishman's Italian, Bar, Pizzeria and Karaoke venue, and most recently Disco, an underground boite in Soho based on the disco movement that took place in 1970s Manhattan. This spring they have just launched Cocobananas, a nightclub based on a Brazilian beach party and will be launching Beaver Lodge, a mountain bar and dance saloon based on the winter cowboy log cabins found in Wyoming, this autumn.
