A show of classic San Francisco 60s psychedelic blues music featuring members of Big Brother and the Holding Company Country Joe and the Fish Steve Miller Band, and The Blues Project who all played the original 1967 Monterey Pop Festival plus the incredible Bex Marshall Blues as the voice of Janis.

Monterey was the first widely promoted and heavily attended rock festival, attracting an estimated attendance of 90,000, and featured the first major public performance of Janis Joplin and US appearances by Jimi Hendrix and The Who

The San Francisco Nights 2014 UK tour coincides with the 47th Anniversary of the 1967 Monterey International Pop Music Festival in California the first ever widely promoted and heavily attended rock festival. This tour features members of no less than four bands who appeared there who will be performing an exciting back catalogue of their classic songs.... and more!

SAM ANDREW (guitar/vocals) is a founder member of BIG BROTHER AND THE HOLDING COMPANY, the band that launched JANIS JOPLIN to fame in the dance halls of San Francisco and at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967. Sam is known for his stunning guitar work which helped define the "San Francisco" sound as some of the most dynamic music of the era.
