Digital Junkyard Orchestra - Project for 11-1 year olds

Ages: 11-19

Learn how to combine percussion with digital technology and use Scratch software, Raspberry Pi computers and junk materials to create a unique digital orchestra. Then take your sounds to the masses by performing at Imogen Heap’s Reverb Festival.

Each year the Roundhouse helps 3000 11-25 year-olds realise their creative potential through opportunities in music, media and performing arts. Young people have the chance to work with industry professionals to develop their skills in a dedicated creative centre – the Paul Hamlyn Roundhouse Studios.

And that’s only for starters – there are over 25 different workshops and opportunities for 11-25s to get involved in this July and August, with bursaries are available to cover costs if needed.
