THE SUN IS OUT, holidays are booked - it’s officially summer. Thoughts of chilling out on a hammock, lazy days drifting through Venetian canals on a gondola, and the cool taste of ice cream come to mind. But now there’s no need to wait for your holidays to experience all this and more. The UK’s leading insurance specialists, InsureandGo, will take you on a journey of taste sensations when their ‘Around the World in 80 Scoops’ event arrives in London on Friday.

From Friday 11th July to Sunday 13th July, InsureandGo is presenting a free event on the South Bank. They will be inviting the public to experience tastes of the world with an ice cream parlour which is bursting with exciting flavour combinations. Some of the flavours will be nice (like Ecuador’s custard ice cream with pineapple and melon sauce, topped with meringue), some not so nice (like Poland’s sweet ice cream with beetroot sauce and pickles) and some just plain strange (like Japan’s squid ink ripple ice cream).

Not only that but visitors will be able to hang out on a hammock, relax inside the pyramids, or take a moment to contemplate in a Chinese pagoda while they enjoy their ice creams on the specially designed installations at the event. There will also be a green screen experience inviting the public to take a picture of themselves in breathtaking destinations around the world, and street performances - including belly dancers, a steel pan musician and Venetian ballerinas - will also be on hand to get everyone in the holiday spirit.
