Paw Pageant

Get ready for the biggest event in London’s doggie social calendar, as the coolest canines will be returning to Old Spitalfields Market to strut their stuff for the annual Paw Pageant on Monday 25th August between 1pm and 3pm.

From pampered poodles to fabulous frenchies, the hippest hounds in town will dazzle the crowds in divine creations from the queen of canine couture, Lilly of LoveMyDog to raise funds for Battersea Dog and Cats Home. Each pooch will be accompanied on stage by a human consort, modelling the latest collections by NW3, Oliver Bonas, Albam, Jigsaw Menswear, Hackett, Traffic People, Jones and Jones and Shoe Embassy.

Pooch lovers will also have the chance to showcase their own dogs on the catwalk, which will be judged by an influential panel including the famed fashion photographer Rankin and model Tuuli Shipster, by entering their dogs into one of the following categories:

• Dressed up to the Canines
• Dog’s Got Talent
• Paw-fection
• Radiant Rescue
• Dog El Ganger

On the day, a number of Old Spitalfields Market’s fashion labels and eateries will also be putting on exclusive offers to celebrate the most coveted doggie day out in London, including a doggy garden at Las Iguanas, which is offering a tapas deal, 2 for 1 on selected cocktails, and doggy ice cream for four legged friends. What’s more, Battersea Dog and Cats Home will be on site to provide free microchipping and dog tagging to all pet owners.

Visitors will be able to enter an exclusive photo competition on the day by submitting their “pup-arazzi” snaps using the hashtag #pawpageant2014 – the winning image will receive a £50 market voucher to spend on them and their pooch at Old Spitalfields Market.

To enter your dog in the paw pageant costs only £8 pre-registration and £10 on the day, with all proceeds going to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.
