This weekend marks 20 years since the Gallagher brothers released their debut LP ‘Definitely Maybe’, so we’ll be celebrating this anniversary at Old School Indie by playing every track from the genre-defining album.

Featuring the singles ‘Shakermaker’, ‘Supersonic’, ‘Live Forever’ & ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’ as well as other classics such as ‘Columbia’, ‘Rock n Roll Star’ & ‘Up In The Sky’, Definitely Maybe became the fastest selling debut album ever at the time of it’s release.

Back then Noel Gallagher said: “In 20 years’ time, people will buy Definitely Maybe and listen to it for what it was. That’s what is important."

So put on your Parker jackets, pretend you’re John Lennon and have a punch up with your brother as we celebrate the definitive Britpop band who, at one point in the mid-90s, were unstoppable.

We will of course be playing other Oasis faves and you can expect the usual OSI stuff but the likes of Pulp, The Strokes, The Smiths, David Bowie, Arctic Monkeys, The Rolling Stones, Franz Ferdinand, The Beatles, The Jam, Stevie Wonder, Suede, The Clash, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Kinks, Blur, Blondie and loads more lovely indie stuff that you will know and want to dance to!

Door Policy: Wear your fave old indie band t-shirt to jump the queue!

Other Info

As you’d expect, this night is about playing Indie the way it used to be, so don’t expect any R ‘n’ B (unless it’s the sort as played by The Who) or crunk (or whatever it is the youth listen to these days)... no siree Bob, this is old fashioned and proud! And as well as treating to you to lots of lovely indie old and new, rock ‘n’ roll, synthpop, soul, Motown, New Wave and much more. It’s Indie the way it used to be!
