Brainchild: Story and Sound Workshop

This August we're hosting another amazing Rich Mix Youth Takeover! Three weeks of live events on fashion, music and dance plus free creative workshops from Futureversity. From 1 - 22 August you can expect Rich Mix to be packed full of fantastic events and activities dedicated to young people aged 16 - 25.

Brainchild is a young arts organisation dedicated to celebrating, developing and inspiring creativity. In the summers of 2012 and 2013, we ran small multi arts festivals that incorporated talks and workshops as well as a broad range of visual and performance art. The heart of our work is in opening up the creative process instead of solely focusing on the finished product, and developing the creativity in everybody, not only the performers.

For this evening's live show, we will be following on from our day's storytelling workshop with a continued focus on story and narrative. There will be original compositions accompanying animation and short films, with poems and stories told by fantastic spoken word artists as well as the participants from the day's workshop and performances from two incredible bands to close the night.
