Japanese New Year Calligraphy Class

Yoko Takenami, author of The Simple Art of Japanese Calligraphy 2004, will lead a group of students through the traditional art of Japanese calligraphy.Calligraphy workshop

The class will focus on the Japanese tradition of writing resolutions on sheets of paper before the New Year in the hope of them coming true.
All materials and tuition will be provided and beginners are welcome.

Yes, purchase a ticket from this page and bring the print out along with you. Places are limited and we cannot accept payment on the day of the event.

How long is the class?
The class will last 2.5 hours. Please arrive promptly so as not to miss any of the tuition.

Do I need to have any experience of calligraphy?
No, the class it designed for beginners and up, so just bring yourself!
