London Transport Museum will open the doors of its Depot in Acton, West London for a special open weekend on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 September 2014. Visitors will have access to the Depot’s vast collection of over 400,000 objects, including posters, engineering drawings, signs and ephemera and an extensive collection of historic road and rail vehicles.
Find out about the role of the B-type bus in the First World War, and see our newly restored vehicle before it visits the French battlefields. We will have talks and film screenings, a special exhibition about the role of the bus in the First World War, as well as make and take workshops and storytelling for families. Tickets to this event are valid on both days at the Museum Depot.
