Chrisp Street Market Brings the Beach to Poplar - Family friendly festival transforms east end market into seaside for the day!

Before the summer sadly comes to an end, Chrisp Street Market is bringing a bit of beach life to the city with the Chrisp Street Festival on Sunday, September 7th.

A vibrant, diverse centre located in the heart of Tower Hamlets, Chrisp Street’s free family-friendly festival is set to take place from 12–7pm, offering beach themed activities that everyone can enjoy.

Throughout the day, the ambience of the seaside will come to East London via the likes of donkey rides, a pop up beach, fairground rides, beach games and a swimming pool. Visitors will also be able to enjoy spoken word, poetry, comedy, craft workshops and face painting, plus live music from Brassroots, Royal Sounds and Zydeco Stew.

Delicious food will be provided by Bite, the street food collective, which promises a range of quality food traders offering international cuisine.
Located opposite All Saints DLR, and two minutes from Langdon Park DLR and only four minutes away from Canary Wharf on the DLR, Chrisp Street is situated on East India Dock Road.
