We're being taken over by international artist Scanner! Explore sonic London through creative installations, intimate gigs, workshops, and talks and discover the hidden noise of our modern city. You’ll also be the first to hear Scanner’s new immersive sound installation, Bridging the World, inspired by our exhibition, Bridge. With an after-hours view of Bridge, late night bars and food.

Highlights of the evening

Bridging the World
Be one of the first to experience Scanner’s new immersive sound installation inspired by our exhibition Bridge. From London to New York City, Shanghai to Sao Paulo, names of iconic and forgotten bridges create a world travelogue that inhabits and enlivens the museum.

Scanned voices
Scanner uses snippets of scanned mobile phone conversations to create a sonic collage of our city.

The art of listening
Join sound artist Helen Frosi, of the SoundFjord lab, and respond to sound through the medium of drawing, creating something visual using your sonic perceptions.

Listening on the Quayside
Join practitioners from the Points of Listening collective based at the University of Arts London on a participatory soundwalk on the quayside. Experience how listening together can change how you connect with the urban landscape around you.

Subpac: feel the sound
Experience intense bass without damaging your hearing. Join tactile audio-technology pioneers, Subpac, and test drive their latest new patent which enables you to feel the sound you hear.

Bitter Sweet Frequencies: a live experience
Blurring the lines of food, art and sound, artist Caroline Hobkinson invites visitors to a live experience exploring how sound and frequencies affect your taste.

Bridge
Enjoy an after-hours view of our summer visual art exhibition Bridge.

Plus talks from experts and curators on contemporary sonic collecting including Ian Rawes of the London Sound Survey.
