On Monday 27th October the Church of St Clement Danes will play host to a special one off choral performance in aid of the Bat Conservation Trust, as part of the Brandenburg Choral Festival Autumn Series.
The renowned London Tiffin Boy’s Choir will be joined by the visiting Capella St Lamberti Oldenburg choir from Germany, to perform an evening of choral music, including motets from Heinrich Schütz' Geistliche Chormusik 1648, Rudolf Mauersberger's Wie liegt die Stadt so wüst, and J.S Bach's Jesu, meine Freude.
As part of their new fundraising scheme, the Brandenburg Choral Festival have joined up with a number of small local charities, and this performance will be in aid of the Bat Conservation Trust, with proceeds from ticket sales going directly to the charity.
The Bat Conservation Trust was founded in 1991, and remains the UK's leading non-governmental organization devoted solely to the conservation and protection of UK bats and their habitats. Funds raised from ticket sales will go towards conservation initiatives such as their bat Helpline, for members of the public who have found grounded or injured bats, their National Bat Monitoring Programme and their Bat Crime Investigations Project.
To purchase tickets, please contact BCT’s fundraising and memberships officer Dawn Mackie at [email protected] or on 0207 820 7181.
