Reverend JW Simpson is pleased to announce a new autumn series of informative, interactive and irreverent Spirited Sermons master-classes.

On Tuesday 14th October, we will be looking at Absinthe. Join us for a meeting with the Green Fairy as we explore the myths and legends of this notoriously potent liquid. From the traditional Absinthe Drip to the classic Sazerac, learn about the diverse preparation methods, sample the fabled liquor both in its traditional guise and as a improbable cocktail ingredient and discover how to recreate your own emerald concoctions at home.

Throughout the evening, the host will join guests at their table to examine the chosen spirit, offering fascinating facts and amusing anecdotes about its history and production, whilst Rev JW Simpson’s experienced cocktail bartenders demonstrate how use the spirit’s unique flavours to create beautiful, delicate and delicious concoctions. Guests will then have the opportunity to use their newly learnt skills to shake and stir their own cocktail at the pop up bar.
