JUJU presents and represents the finest hand-picked selection of true roots music from the soul of Africa, the African diaspora and way beyond, blending raw, untouched traditional music with genre-crossing fusion performances.

This month we are catastrophically excited to represent something truly special. The Sabbey Drummers are led by master percussionists, multi-instrumentalists and singers Afla Sackey and Yaw Asumadu.

They mix traditional dance drumming and intensely intricate polyrhythms with beautifully harmonised chants from the lengths and breadth of their native country, Ghana. One of the most uplifting and technically brilliant performances you’ll find this side of West Africa. Topped off with DJ sets from the Afro-Palace collective, led by the one and only Volta 45.
