From 13-19 October, the nation will celebrate seven solid days of chocolate indulgence, culminating in the world’s largest chocolate show, Salon du Chocolate, which returns to London for its second year. With some of the finest chocolatiers working in Mayfair and Belgravia, there’s no better place to enjoy this iconic sweet treat.

Discover the perfect tea and chocolate pairing: Cocoa specialist William Curley has thought up a new and exceptionally British way to celebrate Chocolate Week. The chocolatier has collaborated with tea specialist JING to create the ultimate chocolate and tea pairing. The Wuyi Collection pairs William Curley’s award-winning chocolates with JING Wuyi Oolong – a decadent tea with notes of chocolate, roasted nuts and smooth muscovado. The limited-edition set launches on 13 October and will be available at William Curley boutiques, including the flagship store on Ebury Street in Belgravia, until Christmas.

Marry with macarons: Pierre Hermé is known across the globe for his chocolate and macarons. So it’s no surprise that when the two come together, it’s a match made in heaven. Take a trip to Lowndes Street in Belgravia to try the Pure Origin Paineiras Plantation Brazilian Dark Chocolate macaron – Hermé’s latest chocolate discovery. With citrus, red berry and spice notes, it takes chocolate to new heights. You can also pick up a selection of the boutique’s chocolate bonbons, which come in a range of shapes and sizes.

Try a new cocoa combination: Rococo Chocolates is going all out for Chocolate Week. Visit the Belgravia store on Motcomb Street on 15 October to witness a special collaboration with neighbouring perfumery Annick Goutal. For one day only, the duo promises to showcase a scent-sensational and palate-pleasing perfume & chocolate coupling. If you’re more interested in flavour than perfume, the chocolatier will be running another pairing session, on 16 October, at Rococo’s Moxon Street store in Marylebone. Stop by to try a selection of weird and wonderful flavour unions, which pair chocolate with a series of cheeses, wines and beers.

Drink up: As the wintry winds pick up, take shelter in L’ETO Caffe on West Halkin Street in Belgravia. If an offering of handmade cakes and chocolate truffles doesn’t quite quench your craving, warm up with a steaming cup of L’ETO’s signature hot chocolate. Choose between the smooth and thick Vienna-inspired drink topped with nuts and the ‘good old milky’ London variety.

Write in chocolate: If you’re brave enough to let the kids in on the fact that there’s a whole week devoted to chocolate, why not take them to Rococo’s chocolate calligraphy session at the Belgravia boutique on 18 October? Interested families can drop in throughout the day to master the art of writing in chocolate (and probably caking themselves in it too).

Colour your wardrobe with chocolate: For the non-chocoholic, Harrys of London on South Audley Street provides a wearable alternative. The store’s chocolate kudu suede belt sets off a range of menswear and is made from the same kudu antelope suede used in the designer’s popular Basel and Dwain styles. For females lacking a sweet tooth, Moloh on Pimlico Road offers a selection of chocolate-coloured fashion items for you to incorporate in your autumn look. Treat yourself to a pair of chauffeur boots in chocolate brown suede if you’re looking to sweeten your winter wardrobe.
