The newly formed 629 Collective is proud to present Under Ground Women, their inaugural group show at ArtsLav, a Listed Victorian gentleman’s public convenience-turned-exhibition space under Kennington Cross, SE11.
The exhibition features the work of 8 artists employing a diverse range of media including printmaking, painting, sculpture, textiles and photography. In addition to their own individual themes each artist has contributed work to ‘The Kennington Wall’, a group hang drawing inspiration from the local area. The artists exhibiting are: Rosemarie Davidge, Lu Firth, Loretta Garrison, Stella Morgan, Germander Speedwell, Jasmin Topalusic, Rebecca Willcox and Karen Yarnell.
This is a great opportunity to support local up-and-coming artists and experience this unique underground exhibition space. A range of work is available for sale, including artist-made cards, limited edition prints, textiles and fine clothing.
Private view: Saturday 15th November from 6pm, with live music from Oysland and friends from 8pm next door at The Dog House.
Closing party: 23rd November 1-4pm
