Mann Friday

London based band Mann Friday, known for their meaningful lyrics and big melodic rock, gently mixed with African Rhythms and smooth electronic beats. Coupled with a highly energetic live set.


Mann Friday have been strumming out music for close to a decade. From their student roots at Rhodes Unversity in 1998 to the lakeside project in 2002 that bore The Orchard album in Cape Town. 2003 saw the team shift to the UK with shows around Edinburgh and London, with Apple Source released in 2004, a ramshackle collection of tracks from the 'nomadic years'.

Now grounded on London's gig-circuit 2006's Blue Sky Science, some would say their seminal work with tracks from Trees to You Bring My Beat Back. Playing at a hoard of venues including The Marquee Club, The Forum and The Clapham Grand, Mann Friday began forging their fifth album, Waiting For The Flash a harder record with heavier influence including the single Sunburn & Wonder that made a bid for the UK Top40.
