Blurring the boundaries between fiction and reality, heroism and stupidity, past and present, Velvet Terrorist portrays three men who took up arms against communism and were jailed for it; Stano failed to blow up an official party gathering; Fero tried to contact the CIA before attempting to assassinate the president; and Vladimír blew up Communist billboards. Re-enacting their heroic acts, while struggling with their mundane, unhappy lives, brings a lot of tongue-in-cheek humour to these visually impressive and tragicomic tales.
