Music Day – inSpiral pop up event

Music Day comes once a year, on the night of the summer solstice (21st of June) and is celebrated worldwide. It must be free for everyone and on the 21st of June, these are the two conditions that set up the basics of Music Day, the rest is down to the people, which makes it special; free music for the people from the people.

To raise awareness, throughout the year, the UK team is bringing you events across London. This time it will be in inSpiral Lounge with a medley of live acoustic acts and DJ sets.

Spanning across different generations, countries and music cultures, the Music Day Team and their artists meet together in a common love of music and parties. Taking example from the founding country France, where this day is a national institution, our aim is to make the 21st of June an open to all celebration of music and community with free events catering to all tastes.

Though Music Day UK is not affiliated to a genre or style and our team is broad based enough to feel as home in a warehouse as in a bandstand, this particular event, in keeping with the inSpiral ethos, will revolve around the positive vibes of the Caribbean mingling with contemporary r’n’b notes, uplifting subversive electronic MCing, selection of european hip hop and banging electronics. Accompanied throughout by maximalism colour frequencies and surreal stop motion animation.
