The Trans-Siberian March Band bring their borderless bag of musical styles to Rich Mix for a series of monthly shows, featuring a different guest act each month. This month: The Meow Meows.
The Trans-Siberian March Band is a London-based Balkan Brass Band. Formed in 2007, the group’s flamboyant, high-energy performances have earned them an established reputation on the Balkan, burlesque and festival scene both in the UK and beyond.
A fearsome blend of clarinets, brass, percussion and vocals, the TSMB look as loud as they sound, with ever-stranger costumes guaranteeing an always spectacular and memorable performance.
The Meow Meows:
The Meow Meows are a legendary eight piece traditional Ska 'n' Roll supergroup from Brighton, UK.Their sound is an amalgamation of 60s garage rock 'n' roll, 80's 2Tone ska and anything else they may feel like chucking in. They formed back in summer 2005 mainly as an excuse to drink on a weeknight, but since then they have played with major international acts including The Beat, King Blues, Bad Manners, The Slackers, and The Aggrolites.
