Needing money to support his daughter Milly’s expensive tastes, James Wormold, a vacuum cleaner salesman in pre-revolutionary Havana, accepts a job with the British Secret Service. As he has nothing to report, he begins to invent sub-agents, missions and secret constructions. What could possibly go wrong? Graham Greene’s comic novel is brilliantly adapted for the stage with four actors playing 31 parts.
