The Philharmonia Orchestra & Chorus, conducted by Michael Collins, perform a gala evening of Beethoven in aid of Pancreatic Cancer UK.

The evening will be hosted by Classic FM presenter Nicholas Owen and will include Beethoven's Triple Concerto and Symphony No. 9 ("Choral") which is widely considered to be one of the greatest pieces of music ever written.

Beethoven's Triple Concerto will feature three brilliant young soloists, Callum Smart, Laura van der Heijden and Julian Clef. Symphony No. 9 culminates in the uplifting and triumphant setting of Schiller's Ode to Joy featuring the Philharmonia Choir and the magnificent solo voices of Natalya Romaniw, Anne-Marie Owens, Robert Murray and one of the best loved and most versatile bass-baritones of the last 40 years; Sir Willard White.

The gala concert is being held in support of Pancreatic Cancer UK, the only national charity fighting pancreatic cancer on all fronts: support, information, campaigning and research.

The concert is being sponsored by KPMG and supported by Classic FM.
