Sometimes we are hurt by what people say or do, sometimes we feel guilty for the things we ourselves have said or done. Holding onto guilt or hurt feelings keeps us stuck in anger and resentment, it makes us unhappy and distracted from what’s important.
Forgive yourself and others. It’s one of the best things you can do for your mind, body and relationships.
Forgiveness doesn’t mean excusing or erasing the wrong. It does mean shifting your feelings of guilt and hurt and developing compassion for yourself and the one who hurt you.
