The Smiths Mike Joyce Presents

Mike Joyce joined The Smiths in 1982 and stayed with them until their demise in 1987. After that in late '88 and '89 he played with Morrissey as a solo artist and then went on to drum for The Buzzcocks, Public Image Limited, Sinead O Conner and Soul Diva PP Arnold. Drums aside Mike has been heavily involved in radio both on East Village Radio and 6Music.
Mike Joyce presents @ Proud will feature 3 breaking live acts as well as an impressive line up of Djs all chosen by himself. Mike was quick to make it clear this is not a retro indie night, in his own words he said it will be “one big party”

Clubbers can expect Hip Hop, Soul, Disco, House, and Indie Rock n Roll and whatever else is making people dance and sounds great loud.
The launch party will feature special guest Dj slots from Tribes front man Johnny Lloyd and DMC scratch legend DJ Destruction who has produced tracks for the likes of LL Cool J, Guru, Scroobius Pip, Method Man and De La Soul.
