Run entirely by volunteers from CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale, this Festival promises a delight for the taste buds and offers the challenge that they can find a beer (or cider) to suit anybody - there are around 150 drinks to try!
This is the longest running London beer festival in one venue, evolving as tastes and the beer market have changed. An example of this is that, as the number of breweries in London has grown, the Festival introduced a bar dedicated to beers brewed in London; this now represents over 60% of the beer on sale, attracting people to come and try the Capital's best brews. 2015 will see another new initiative, with American bottled beer joining the established range of Belgian and Dutch bottled beers alongside German draught beer.
The Festival is also unique in that it is one of the very few beer festivals to produce its own food, all of which is prepared by CAMRA volunteers. Each day there are two dishes of the day (one vegetarian. There will even be a special beer brewed with the London Brewing Company to go with them.
Add on a Tombola, pub games, a free pub quiz on Wednesday night and a bring and buy book sale on Friday lunchtime (proceeds to charity) and we can promise everyone a good time.
