Feast Film Nights in association with The Portico Gallery present an Anti Valentine's screening of Martin Scorsese's lost 80s classic After Hours starring Griffin Dunne and Rosanna Arquette.

When office drone Paul meets Marcy in a New York café they bond instantly and arrange a date for later that evening.

However the night doesn't go to plan and Paul finds his route home obstructed by angry cabbies, clumsy catburglars, unstable waitresses, condescending bouncers, and irate mobs led by ice cream truck drivers, all set in bizarre 80s Manhattan.

Live music before the film from Bianca Wilson, one of South London’s unheralded and unsigned talents.

Bianca will be performing her stylish jazz and blues inflected love songs to fit the mood of the evening.

Feast Film Nights are another volunteer run initiative from West Norwood Feast.

Feast Film Nights bring together people who love film and their community, in an area that currently has no cinema (yet!). The group get together regularly to programme and show interesting, quirky, cult or classic films and documentaries twice monthly in the Portico Gallery. The gallery itself is a huge space with plush red cinema seats (on wheels), an enormous screen — and there’s even a bar just like in the olden days.

The emphasis is not just on the film itself but also the whole ‘getting together’ experience. We show the feature but also include Dj’d music, short films, intervals with themed drinks and food, sometimes even dressing up — anything to make the experience several steps up from simply going to the local Odeon. And a lot cheaper!

So calling all singles, celibates, the broken hearted, the wronged by love, the unromantic, those who like their love on the rocks shaken and stirred, the couples who won’t do coupledom, those for whom the words Mills and Boom are the most terrible words in the English language. This one's for you!
