UK Final of The Venture

Chivas, the deluxe scotch whisky brand, has launched The Venture, a $1m global competition designed to encourage the next generation of social entrepreneurs.

After receiving nearly 100 applications from social enterprises nationwide, 5 finalists have been selected to participate in the UK final on 18th February, set to take place in The Library of Google's Central Offices in St Giles.

Unlike usual competitions where the winner is decided by a public vote or a judging panel, we are going to ask the finalists to pitch their business plan to each other and they must then decide between themselves who is most deserving of the £10,000 prize and access to specialist business mentorship.

The UK winner will then go on to compete against 20 of the most promising global social entrepreneurs in the global final in Silicon Valley where a share of $1m is on offer.
