Part sci­fi, part horror and post­Apocalypse, SMASHfestUK (14-22 Feb) is themed around a gripping story in which an asteroid is on a collision course with Planet Earth and a zombie invasion ensues.

Visitors will have the chance to plan for Armageddon, whether it’s preparing for survival in the Albany theatre with Survival Factor, Marvellous Micro Mini Beasts and the Ugly Animal Arc, learning how to deal with as asteroid injury with Operation Impact, spotting quack medicine with Dr Death in his kids pantomime, laughing in the face of disaster at the End of the World Cabaret, creating a time capsule or booking a holiday to Pluto to the Intergalactic Travel Agency.

You can transform into a zombie, write an end of the world poem to be stored for ever in the British Library, create a cardboard city and dash around Survival Supermarket Sweep. Something for all ages in Deptford 15th to 22nd February.
