London Reframed is an exhibition brought together by Stoke-Newington based photographer Fred Adams with support from Rowan Arts. With a penchant for gritty and distinctive urban photography and for reframing subjects with an original and cinematic twist, Fred has brought together a disparate range of subjects and themes into an evocative, often dystopian and highly thought-provoking collection of 25 London-themed images.

RePossessed: Interactive Film Installation (first floor)

The ten year anniversary exhibition of RePossessed. Exploring the evolution of spectatorship in the digital era, an interdisciplinary team of writers, artists and programmers from the London Metropolitan University’s academic staff have collaborated to produce artworks in which the audience actively participates. Visitors register their responses and continually re-make the content of the exhibits. Inspired by the work of Alfred Hitchcock and the cityscape of Vertigo’s San Fransisco, questions of power, freedom and desire are never far from the surface, emerging as metaphors for the relationships between audience, artist and medium. By Chris Lane, Souli Spiropoulou, Anne Robinson Tony Cryer and Nick Haeffner.

This exhibition is part of the Reel Islington Film Festival Saturday 28 February – Sunday 1 March 2015.
