Chrisp Street Market will turn green on Saturday 18th April at the first ever Spring Festival.
Visit this free festival between 11am and 4pm to pick up tips on getting greener, healthy eating, growing your own and being more sustainable.
Participate in fun, interactive activities at over 40 stalls, including cooking demonstrations, recycling and upcycling workshops, advice on how to save energy and reduce bills, and electric car exhibitions.
The little ones can say hello to animals from Spitalfields Farm in the urban petting zoo, and the grown-ups can learn about community food growth at mini chicken and bee farms.
The music highlight of the day will come courtesy of the vegetable orchestra who will toot up a storm.
Delicious street food, including vegan cuisine, is provided by the Bite street food collective, Plus, learn about the food you eat from London Metropolitan University’s dieticians and food scientists.
Get to grips with solar panels and LED lighting, and come and collect complimentary energy efficient light bulbs and water saving devices.
