A growing number of students in Britain will graduate with a full BA Hons degree in Circus Arts this year. National Centre for Circus Arts, one of the best circus schools in the world, have released tickets to see the final-year students performing their devised pieces in their building, a magnificent converted power station in Shoreditch, London.

The annual event presents a rare opportunity to see National Centre for Circus Arts students before they graduate. From showcasing Paul Smith’s latest collection at London Fashion week through to touring the world with companies such as Cirque du Soleil and Les 7 Doigts de la Main, students from the National Centre for Circus Arts go on to have impressive careers. 93% of National Centre graduates are still working in the Circus industry three years after graduating.

The devised pieces will be divided into two shows – members of the public can choose to come to one or both:

• ‘Fire/Earth’ is at 5.30pm

• ‘Air/Water’ is at 8.30pm

Now in its 25th year, the organisation, formerly known as Circus Space, launched its “National” status in 2014 following recognition from the government of its achievement to date and the value of the Circus industry to the UK’s cultural economy.

Circus in the UK has changed dramatically over the years and the National Centre hopes to create a culture of Circus in the UK which rivals countries such as France and Canada (whose Cirque du Soleil is worth over $1bn).
