The Crunch, an all-star power punk quintet featuring members of The Clash, Cockney Rejects, Sham 69 and Lords of the New Church, launch their second album ‘Brand New Brand’ at The Borderline. Support comes from 20-strong, all-girl ukulele band The Pukes, who play classic punk songs like you’ve never heard them before!

After winning critical acclaim for the compelling mix of pop hooks and punk grit they served up on 2013’s debut ‘Busy Making Noise’, vocalist Sulo Karlsson (Diamond Dogs), guitarist Mick Geggus (Cockney Rejects), bassist Dave Tregunna (Sham 69 / Lords of the New Church), and drummer Terry Chimes (The Clash) wasted no time in returning to the studio and recording the follow-up. Now expanded to a five-piece, with regular live collaborator Idde Schultz joining full time on vocals and keyboards, they'll formally introduce the line-up and new record at The Borderline.

The Crunch’s hallmarks are huge, power-pop hooks, and massive, memorable blasts of melody. Drawing equally from punk rock, bubblegum glam, rock ‘n’ roll and reggae influences, they deliver concise songwriting which cuts straight to the hook. Live performances are energetic affairs, which mix the skill and experience of seasoned scene stalwarts with the irresistible exuberance of young upstarts. Gig-goers can anticipate material from both albums, plus some choice cuts from the members’ iconic back catalogues.
