YAPA

Three guitars, percussions and the world to explore. Acoustic travel book, sweet grooves and ethnojazz from Paris. Just coming back from 2014 Tahiti (Polynesia) guitar festival, Fabrice Bourguignat, Simon Chenet, Christophe Combet (Acoustic guitars) and Xavier Hamon (Percussions) continue to tour around the world, and pop into Brixton in order to complete their musical trip.

Their first record ('Can I Talk to You' - 2008) was recorded live during a Balkan tour (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia). Then, Pariwaga (2010) was recorded in Africa where Yapa was invited to play in the Ouagadougou and Algier jazz festival. Finally, their last album (Wagamumbai - 2013) was recorded in Mumbai after 12 concerts around India.

Next challenge for Yapa : London ! The three trips to London in 2014 have been wildly successful and encourage the band to explore this new culture… All the influences harvested during these trips will be part of the next record, planned for record and release this year!
