Join Opera Lyrica for our Summer Season of Verdi's La Traviata and Mozart's Così Fan Tutte.

La Traviata
Violetta Valéry is the eponymous fallen woman, rescued by Alfredo Germont and whisked away into a life of love and joy. However, the arrival of Alfredo's father makes unexpected demands of her. Can she keep the life she has so longed for, or is she destined to remain La Traviata?

Così Fan Tutte
Two young officers make a bet with their friend Don Alfonso that their girlfriends are different to other women as they are faithful to the end. Don Alfonso insists that all women are the same, and concocts a plan in which the two men pretend to be called to war and come back in disguise to seduce the girls. With the help of an overbearing maid (and the very fickle nature of the two young ladies), a chaotic story of deception, suspicion, seduction and silliness ensues...

Two favourites of the operatic repertoire are performed by the up-and-coming singers and players of Opera Lyrica in the original Italian with English surtitles
