For the week of 13th April, M Restaurants will be celebrating World Malbec Day by launching its brand new out-door terrace on Threadneedle Walk with a specially created Malbec vineyard in the shadow of the bank of England. After making their name for being the first restaurant to bring Kobe Beef to Europe, M has become a London ‘Hotspot’. Recently M hosted the launch of the worlds’ first drinkable art and now the M venue has gone a step further by creating a vineyard and grape crushing pool in the heart of the City.

During Malbec week at M, the restaurant will offer a special Argentine menu an?d wine tastings from their Enomatic machines with head sommelier Zack Charilaou as well as three screenings of Argentine Movies, created by some of Argentina’s top filmmakers. Guests drinking and dining at M during this time will be invited to try the very best in Argentine produce and even visit the M-albec vineyard and crush some grapes barefoot.

Malbec has taken the world by storm - moving from a little known variety fifteen years ago to one of the wine-worlds superstars today. Hence, Wines of Argentina established April 17th as Malbec World Day, a celebration to honour the popularity of this seductive Argentine varietal.

This winter saw the arrival of a unique dining and drinking concept in the heart of London’s City. Situated on the iconic Threadneedle Street, home to the Bank of England, M is an innovative and versatile 15,000 square foot space. M is the first solo project from Martin Williams, who left his role as Managing Director of Gaucho Restaurants earlier this year after almost a decade with the company, to establish his own restaurant group.
