LONDON LAUNCH: for the new album, ‘Skeleton Hill’ which will be released in early 2015!

Firefly Burning’s impressionistic music electrifies audiences with it’s quiet intimacy and rich cinematic climaxes. Evoking sounds of Sufjan Stevens, Steve Reich and Kate Bush, their ‘vital and indefinable’ music draws on classical minimalism, avant-folk, experimental pop and Javanese Gamelan to ‘paint sound pictures and take the audience in myriad directions at will’ (For Folks Sake). Encompassing strings, piano, synthesizer, electric guitar and gamelan, Firefly Burning’s songs are centered around close vocal harmonies with echoes of William Byrd and The Beach Boys.
