Tenebrae will be performing its new programme of Brahms and Bruckner Motets in the exquisite surroundings and acoustic of St. James’s Church, Spanish Place (Marylebone, London) on Thursday 12th November 2015. This concert will mark the launch of the choir’s new album on Signum Records featuring this repertoire, profits from the sale of which will go towards Macmillan Cancer Support to aid their important work.

Programme to include:
Johannes Brahms – Drei motette
Johannes Brahms – How Lovely Are Thy Dwellings Fair
Johannes Brahms – Geistliches Lied
Anton Bruckner – Locus iste
Anton Bruckner – Christus Factus Est

In association with Classic FM and generously sponsored by Edition Peters Ltd., Tenebrae are delighted to launch a competition which allows one talented and lucky choir to be invited to perform with them in the concert. To be in with a chance of winning this once in a lifetime opportunity, choirs are invited to submit a simple audio recording of Bruckner’s ‘Locus Iste’ to be judged by Tenebrae’s Artistic Director, Nigel Short.
