Walthamstow based artist Jhinuk Sarkar illustrates the journey of a coffee bean from the plant to your regular (and more extraordinary) ‘cup of Joe’.

This exhibition is inspired by Craving Coffee’s exquisite coffee menu to celebrate UK Coffee Week 2015. Come and take a look at this series of Jhinuk’s new work using inks, collage and print relief techniques in vibrant colours.

We will have an opening party on 7th May, with the bar open for craft beer, cocktails, wine and food.

The exhibition will run from 8th-31st May and works will be for sale. We will also be collecting donations for Project Waterfall during UK Coffee Week.

Jhinuk is an East London based illustrator and artist who has produced images for private and commercial commissions. Platforms for her commercial work have included publishing, product packaging, posters, as well as sets for theatre spaces and exhibition resources.

As a creative workshop facilitator, Jhinuk has collaborated with schools, artists and arts venues including House of Illustration, Royal Academy of Arts and the V&A Museum of Childhood.

In March 2015 Jhinuk developed illustrations which interpreted Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery's Inuit collection. This was a research project funded by the Arts Council England.

Her work has been widely exhibited, including a residency in Fremantle in Western Australia and a European showcase of illustration through the Korean Society of Illustrators show, displayed in Vietnam.
