With PikOTO’s signature masterclass you'll explore different perspectives with which to approach your subject. Whether you’re interested in candid, posed, considered or setup portraiture, this course will stimulate and challenge, pushing you to a photographic space you haven’t been to before – we’ll help you see and feel the light!

Your tutor will put you through your paces with various assignments that will push your limits and open your mind to different ways of seeing and feeling. The course will also open your eyes to how lenses affect a portrait and how ISO can be used in dramatic ways to enhance your portraiture. We’ll delve deeper into not only the sub genres within portraiture but also into how the surroundings can be used effectively to enhance your visual story within portraiture.

Throughout the course you’ll be getting instant feedback from your tutor who’ll be with you every step of the way, encouraging you to ask questions and put into practice what you learn.
This is a very practical course and we are outside for the majority of the time. It’s not an easy ride! And to make it even more challenging and help you understand how style can also come from the focal length you use: we won’t be using any zoom!
