The London-based Melos Sinfonia draws its players from students and recent graduates of the major British and European Union conservatoires and universities. Under the energetic leadership of Durham University undergraduate Oliver Zeffman, who recently conducted the Russian premières of several major British works, it is building an international as well as a UK reputation.

Tonight's performers include the Françoise-Green Piano Duo – Antoine Françoise pianist-composer and Robin Green pianist-conductor returning to St Jude's after a thrilling lunchtime concert last year. Both winners of the Royal College of Music contemporary piano prize, they have been winning admirers across Europe since their collaboration began in 2008.
