Princes Amongst Men Ft. King David & Countess Francesca

Brixton’s long running Balkan Gypsy music night, is proud to presentKing David & Countess Francesca in a night celebrating American roots music. King David presents a unique kind of downhome African-American music and twangy surf-guitar sounds. He has taken his show to the USA and all over Europe, as well as regularly performing in London and all corners of the UK. He has appeared on several BBC UK Radio Broadcasts including the John Peel, Mark Lammar, and Andy Kershaw shows and worked with several classic American performers including Lazy Lester, Eddie C Campbell, and Jimmy Thomas. Countess Francesca plays double bass and specialises in bringing to life the deep rolling rhythms of classic Southern Roots Blues she works regularly around the UK and overseas with Rollo Markee, Jerimiah Marques, Dexter Shaw, and many others.
