On Sunday 12th July, St Joseph's Hospice is holding a summer fair - which we’re calling our ‘Summer Knees Up!’ - on Well Street Common in the heart of Hackney.
The event will celebrate everything the east end has to offer, from traditional pie and mash and pearly kings to the power of the Pandemonium Drummers (they played at London 2012!)
The ‘Summer Knees Up’ coincides with our ‘Great East End Walk’ - a sponsored walk around the East End - and Well Street Common is the finishing point. We’re hoping to attract at least 300 walkers as well as other Hospice supporters and local residents to the event, so the ‘Summer Knees Up’ is guaranteed to be a big success! With free entry, there’s bound to be something for all the family to enjoy.
We are also looking for local people to have a stall at the event so whether you sell home-baked cookies or knitted gifts – stalls cost from just £30!
