"....Gone Tomorrow” is an exhibition of large-scale paintings of animals that highlight our obsession with data, its collection and the unraveling of the natural world.
Nikki Stevens creates her own blueprint of life by combining wild animals with man-made symbols and formula. Her use of mathematical equations, scientific graphs and pictorial constraints symbolize her belief that the natural world is changing. Big cats no longer walk on the wild side; they roam freely amongst the signs and symbols of a carefully constructed society.
Nikki is a London-based artist who has been working professionally since 1996. She is best known for her large-scale watercolours and her works are collected widely in the UK, USA, France and Holland. Nikki is also a Prize Winner of the Royal Watercolour Society: Highly Commended Wildlife Artist of the Year Awards 2011 and 2012 and was selected for the prestigious NOA touring exhibition, 2014. She also has work in the collection of Freshfields Bruckhouse Derringer
