Dated

Set in a fictional 1950’s dating agency and called ‘Dated’ the event opens its doors for the very first time at Crouch End Festival, North London on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 June in Hornsey Town Hall Arts Centre.

The free interactive installation takes visitors on a journey, exploring real life courtship from the 1950’s, with interviews capturing stories of romance and charm, old fashioned etiquette, social behaviour, misbehaviour, fun, frolics and of course, love.

The audience is then invited to rummage through the archive of real, no holds barred, internet-dating exchanges, which may make even the most risqué of daters blush.
Finally, visitors are invited make their place in dating history by contributing their own tales to be used in future events.

This is Dated’s first outing while in development and is planned to become a long-term touring project, growing with stories the public contribute.

Singles, spoken-for and wedded are all welcome at the Dated! no appointment necessary, just turn up. Over 16 years only (due to sensitive material).
