Jez Butterworth's darkly comic exploration of England’s green and pleasant land returns to the London stage for the time since its acclaimed Royal Court and West End runs.
On St. George's Day, the morning of the local county fair, Johnny Byron is a wanted man... for all the wrong reasons. Between council officials out to evict him, his son Marky wanting a trip to the fair, Troy wanting to give him a good kicking, and everyone else wanting Johnny for his amply supply of drink and drugs, this will become a day for the entire community to remember.
Written by Jez Butterworth.
Directed by Jack Bowman.
