The event this year is taking place on the Saturday 6th June 2015 from 12pm-6pm at St. Luke ‘s Community Centre. There will be even more music, artwork, workshops and delicious food. There is also a great opportunity for you to get involved with planning the festival, stewarding on the day or even performing.

Last year we had a number of magnificent artists including: “Gary Alford Art and Giusi Tomanello Art in the Art Space Exhibition 2nd Floor. This is the arty couple of the year”. We also had Alicia Alchimionex and “her fashion label Alchiminionex. All handmade and beautiful creative.”

FizzFest, a community led festival, started in 2009 has been growing bigger and bigger. The festival is filled with fun activities, stalls, performers and fun competitions. The main aim of the festival is to promote the arts to the community. All the inspirational artists, musicians and performers live in the local area giving up their time for free. This year FizzFest is planned by a group of 10 volunteers putting their efforts six months leading up to the event and getting involved in all aspects of marketing and logistics.

There are two fantastic stages, the line up is as followed in the Fizz stage: Grand Union Youth Orchestra, Ruth Brown (BBC’s The Voice), MC Dekey (Britains Got Talent), King Pin, Weyland and the incredible Key Change Stage will involve the award winning music engagement and recovery services for people experiencing mental health problems.

The Line up is as followed on the Key Change Stage: Spectrum Bands including Shorty and Misty Maths.
Spectrum DJs including Kasbiand Island, Art Best and the Resters.
Spectrum Rappers including Seraphin, Weyland and Kola.

As well as the breathtaking performances, there is also a chance to get creative and for you to be involved in some incredible workshops such as: recycled art, drum making, green wood working and a secret nail salon. There are also a variety of stalls you can go to for all age groups including: kid’s arts and crafts, gemstones, handmade jewelry and health projects.
