IT’S LANDED! The Crick Crack Club’s Fabularium – a nomadic haven of fairytales for grown-ups and myths for kids – comes to the South Bank this summer!

Housed in a huge contemporary yurt (a whacking great tent, with flags flying), this cinema of the imagination brings you a series of fabulous afternoon shows for families and superb evening performances for grown-ups – featuring some of the UK’s finest performance storytellers, including Ben Haggarty, Xanthe Gresham, Nell Phoenix, Jan Blake and Martin Shaw.

If you’re a thinker, or a dreamer, and you have an imagination and you like to feed it – then step through the doorway into our very own other world, hidden in the heart of the city.  And as if that wasn’t enough there’s also a Wild Man competition, a shop of stories, and a starlit bar.

This is a pop-up story-fuelled extravaganza in true Crick Crack Club off-beat style!

This summer the South Bank has a wild side..

THE CRICK CRACK CLUB is England’s premier promoter and programmer of performance storytelling. It has led the revival of performance storytelling in the UK since 1987 – focusing on the contemporary performance of international folktale, fairytales, myth & epic for predominantly adult audiences.

In London, the club programmes regular sell-out performances at the Soho Theatre and Rich Mix as well as The Forge. It's the organisation behind the biennial Festival of Fairytales for Grown-ups - Angel's aren't just for Christmas at the Bargehouse. It also collaborates actively with numerous theatres, arts centres, festivals and music venues across the UK.
