London Zulu + Chilli Fried DJ Relay

It's time to soak up some red hot funky South African sounds and grab your 15 minutes of DJ fame as Chilli Fried presents The Sound of the World DJ Relay, featuring a special live set from the fabulous London Zulu, the project formerly fronted by the late, great South African singer and dancer Doreen Thobekile. Doreen’s daughter (and long-time vocal sparring partner) Ingrid Webster is taking her place in the spotlight to perform the songs of her mother and more. Backed by members of Transglobal Underground, she’ll be singing her heart out on a set of Township soul and London funk.

Throughout the evening we’re offering you the chance to show off your skill behind the decks with a short DJ set. Everyone, from well known DJs, broadcasters and journalists to fresh faced first timers, get a quarter of an hour to play their selection of whatever they like and try to fill the floor.
