The Book Club present an exclusive preview screening of IRIS, the new documentary about 93 year-old style maven Iris Apfel, followed by a discussion with fashion's leading voices.

Quick-witted and flamboyantly dressed Iris has had an outsized presence on the New York fashion scene for decades. IRIS, the new documentary by legendary filmmaker Albert Maysles, portrays a singular woman whose enthusiasm for fashion, art and people reminds us that dressing, and indeed life, is nothing but an experiment.

In the words of the self-proclaimed "geriatric starlet", 'the worst faux pas in fashion is to look in a mirror and see somebody else'. Taking inspiration from Iris' maverick attitude, following the screening, join Pandora Sykes (Fashion Features Editor at The Sunday Times Style), Sue Kreitzman (star of the documentary Fabulous Fashionistas and one of Selfridges Bright Old Things), Daryoush Haj-Najafi (Senior Editor of Complex Magazine and former VICE UK Fashion Editor/VICE Style Editor) and Kim Howells (stylist and Fashion Director at Hunger magazine) for a discussion on personal style, self expression and dressing just to please yourself.
